Rachel Kenshalo Joins UIC Design Plan Build as Director of Marketing and Communications

Anchorage, Alaska – UIC Design, Plan, Build is pleased to announce that Rachel Kenshalo has accepted the position of Director of Marketing and Communications. Kenshalo is responsible for both internal and external strategic communications, advertising, implementation of brand strategy across multiple divisions and platforms, public and shareholder relations and assistance with business development initiatives.
“Rachel brings a unique background, having held managerial positions at several advertising agencies in Alaska and at other Alaska Native Corporations,” says Dave Pfeifer, President of UIC Design, Plan, Build. “Her unique skillset and results-oriented approach to challenges will be a strong asset to our team.”
Kenshalo is a life-long Alaskan and a graduate of the University of Alaska. Prior to joining UIC, she was Operations Director at Northwest Strategies, a full service communications firm in Anchorage, where she served a number of clients, including several Alaska Native organizations. She brings 15 years of experience in communications and marketing. She has also been a freelance writer for more than ten years. Her work has been featured in Alaska Dispatch, Alaska Business Monthly, the Anchorage Press and numerous other publications.
