Anchorage Chamber “Make It Monday” Forum, May 31, 2017
Eklutna, Inc. Update
ANCHORAGE – Join the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce for their weekly “Make it Monday” forum on June 5, 2017 where CEO, Curtis McQueen, will give an update on Eklutna Incorporated, the Alaska Native Village Corporation for Anchorage and the Mat-Su Borough and the largest private land owner in both communities. Curtis joined the Eklutna family in February 2005 as the communications and shareholder relations manager, and became the chief executive officer in October 2007.
In addition, the Anchorage ATHENA Society, a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, will be awarding their 2017 camp scholarship recipients. The scholarships are offered to local young women for an opportunity to learn leadership skills, to learn about innovation, start-ups, entrepreneurship and gain business expertise. The scholarships are for two business camps: Alaska Business Week at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage and Young Entrepreneurs Business Week (YEBW) at the University of Portland.
The “Make it Monday” forum will be held at the Dena’ina Center from Noon to 1 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am. General admission is $35. $30 for Anchorage Chamber members ($32 at the door), and $15 for students with a valid ID. Lunch is provided with admission. The Anchorage Chamber's "Make it Monday" forum is the city's No. 1 weekly luncheon, offering current and relevant educational presentations from a variety of speakers. More than 45 programs are provided annually with the number of attendees ranging from 50 up to as many as 150 a week.
