About Us
Alaska Business Monthly was established in 1984 and is Alaska's premier business magazine. Its goal is to promote economic growth in the state by providing a thorough and objective discussion and analysis of the issues and trends affecting Alaska's business sector; and by featuring stories on the individuals, organizations and companies that shape the Alaska economy.
Alaska Business Monthly emphasizes the importance of all enterprises, from the large multinational corporations that do business in the state to the numerous sole proprietorships. It stresses a statewide approach to business coverage with stories from all regions of the state and offers topical diversity just as broad as the Alaska economy itself.

ART DIRECTOR: DAVID GEIGER I've been putting out fires, soothing egos & pulling off the almost impossible for well over a decade in the printing industry. I was born and raised here in Alaska, left for a few years to study in Arizona at Al Collins School of Graphic Design, then promptly ran from the heat to get back here were I felt I belonged (and wouldn't melt). What came out of a need to get my work done has grown into an enjoyment for technical troubleshooting and basic IT work (let's see a show of hands, all you people who have been held up on a project too long due to a IT department mired in molasses, put 'em up, come on, they can't see you right now). My most enjoyable leisure activities are just time spent with my wife Samantha and son Ivan, exciting times around the corner for us as we are currently expecting a new addition this September (still working on his name though). I have had the chance to work with so many wonderful folks throughout the years in directly related and totally unrelated fields (some of them being those poor overworked IT guys), and find myself amongst top notch company again here at Alaska Business Monthly! |
